Description
This assignment consists of two parts, an annotated bibliography and an academic paper. The annotated bibliography will be used as a resource to help write the final term paper. The term paper will follow the conventions of the APA style manual 6th edition.
Students are required to use 5 sources in their papers. The online dictionary Wikipedia is not considered a valid source. You may use refereed articles in print or online, books, newspapers, or magazines. At least 3 of the sources will be scholarly sources. The length of the term paper will not exceed 1000 words not including the title page or the references section. All papers will have a title page and a section for references.
Must include: Introduction, Eye contact, Facial Expression, Hand Gestures, and Conclusion.

Introduction
Non –verbal communication has become widely used in the current past. This method of
conveying message has been employed even in televisions to deliver the message effectively.
There are various forms of non-verbal communication such as gestures, facial expression,
postures and eye contact among others. There involves encoding and decoding messages in order
to communicate well. The understanding and application of non-verbal communication can
enhance delivery of message and promote cohesion.

The journal focuses on the communication of small children who had learned to talk but are no
longer in a position to communicate. He describes that there is a problem in trying to
communicate using non-verbal skills in children to convey the message they once learned but
had problems in delivery. Sioban also explains the difficulty in communicating through nonverbal skills can be serious communication breakdown or even lead to shut down in
communication. It can also lead to misunderstanding and miscommunication.

ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY
The study explains the importance of eye contact in non-verbal communication. The movement
of the eyes does portray the message and the intention of a person who is delivering the message.
According to the journal, in the case of monitors and cameras, the person must maintain the eye
contact with the monitor in order to convey the message. The movement of the iris will help to
capture the information that is conveyed by the person communicating.
