1. What happened to slaves who thought they were gaining freedom by joining British cause?
Those slaves whose names were signed into the ledger book were freed by Lord Dunmore and
were later relocated to other countries against their wish which was to stay in the United States.
2. What happened to many of the freed slaves who ended up in Canada?
The slaves were free as they would be no longer slaves once they were in a British protection
3. What happened to the slaves who thought they were going to gain freedom by fighting for
patriot cause?
The slaves found freedom however it came with limitations as they faced economic hardships.
They were denied land n other provisions which they had been promised thus some sailed to
London, but majority sailed back to Africa in a new settlement in Sierra Leon

southern states?
The people of the States of the north believed slavery was immoral thus some of the people wanted
it to be gradually abolished while others demanded it to be outlawed instantly...
