Haiti faces the change of supply and demand for education. On the supply side the
country lacks enough spaces to accommodate children who are enrolling in schools while on the
demand side, education is too expensive at an average cost of $80 per kid on tuition fee per kid.
This makes education unaffordable to many.
Purpose of the study
The current state of education in Haiti is a matter of grave concern for both the national
government and the international community. It statics show that only sixty percent of Haitian
kids attend school. This study aims to identify the main reasons and factors which prevent kids
from attending or enrolling to school. The research will also examine the circumstances which
