Gatekeeper algorithms
Question Description
Gatekeeper algorithms, such as those which determine the content you see on Instagram or Facebook, make decisions based on variables which it updates based on what the user does. Using Floridi’s criteria for being a moral agent, make the case that such algorithms should be considered moral agents. Make sure you explain what it would mean to be a moral agent. Then set out the strongest objection you can. Finally, explore whether this objection is successful.
