Wireless network audit is an important step in wireless network implementation and
maintenance tasks. During the implementation phase, auditing helps in determining network
parameters, diagnose and detect problems, determining correct device placement, and select the
best channels for connecting devices (Tse & Viswanath 67). Basu presents many risks affecting
wireless networks including easy access to the wireless channel by attackers, easy interception of
information by attackers, denial of service attacks can be common, identity theft in accessing the

client device-based attacks (37). Wireless networks, by virtue of being accessible by every
device that is in range, can be an easy target by attackers, who might use various sniffing and
spoofing techniques to gain access to the network. These vulnerabilities make wireless networks

Auditing of wireless techniques is guided by many objectives. One of the objectives is to
detect and fix issues within the network. This is the core objective and entails identifying
