Question description

3.27g of magnesium is burned with excess oxygen to form magnesium oxide

The balanced equation for this is: 2Mg + O2 ---> 2MgO

I've determined the moles of magnesium reacted to be 0.135 moles

3.27g Mg/1 * 1 mole Mg/ 24.31g Mg (molar mass)

a) determine the mass of product formed using stoichiometry
