The Jurrasic Palawan Microcontinental Block forms part of the accretionary complex of south China that rifted as a result of the opening of the Oligocene South China Sea (e.g. Holloway, 1982; Zamoras and Matsuoka, 2004). The continental block drifted southeast and collided with the Philippine Mobile Belt during the Miocene (Karig, 1983; Yumul, et al., 2003). Based on recent findings the collision boundary runs from east of Mindoro, east of Sibuyan and Northwestern Panay (Fig. 1) (McCabe et al., 1985; Ramos et al.,2005; Concepcion et al., 2012) .The Buruanga Peninsula is located in the northwesten portion of Panay Island in the Central Philippine
