Originating from Latin, "The Twelve Tables of Rome" was translated to Leges Duodecim Tabularum or Duodecim Tabulae which formed the Legislation and foundation of the ancient Roman law. The Tables were drawn up comprehensively in a coded numeration which up to date scholars believe to have been extremely exaggerated. The tables solely entailed definitions of various procedures or rights in the Roman Empire. They didn't take much consideration to marriage or family institutions but the specifications were highly detailed to the last instruction although lacking precise order. The Twelve Tables give a student of Roman culture an opportunity to investigate the workings of a general public which is still very agrarian in its operations as well as the outlook, in which the fundamental ties which hold the general public together and permit it to work are:1.
