The Big Five dimensions of personality refer to the broad categories of personality that can be assigned to the individual. The categories include extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness. Extraversion refers to a personality that is more outgoing, social, and assertive while agreeableness refers to personality characteristics of kindness, trust, and affection. Conscientiousness consists of personality traits such as goal directed, thoughtful, organized, and efficient (Goldberg, 2008).
