Logical positivism, analytic philosophy, and existentialism are some of the major development that was established in the 20th century. This paper will focus on the three philosophical perspectives, explaining how the philosophies arose and the major tenets.Logical PositivismLogical positivism was developed after the First World War, where a group of scientist and mathematicians meet to meet in Vienna analyzed the impacts of development in logic. The group was led by Moritz Schlick, who with other in the gathering proposed use of knowledge based on logic and scientific foundation only. The philosophers proposed the use of logical tautologies and disregarded the use of normative and pretentious observation. Logical positive enlightened the scholars of the 20th century and led to the development of the modern knowledge.During the 20th century, there were many scientists who moved from Europe to the United States. The scientists were very active in developing the systematic principles of the modern view of the world nature. Some of the famous philosophies who were very active in the development of the logical positivism were Herbert Feigl, Otto, Neurath and Kurt Godel.
