The mission of the FBI is to coordinate intelligence efforts of law enforcement agencies across the nation in order to be alerted to any potential terroristic threats as well as to respond to crime threats that affect the nation. The FBI seeks to integrate intelligence and law enforcement capabilities in order to ensure criminal threats are identified and thwarted through their efforts. While the FBI investigates federal crimes the main goal is to ensure their efforts result in the security of the nation.
