A personal value is absolute or relative and ethical value, the assumption of which can be the basis for ethical action. A principle value is a foundation upon which other values and measures of integrity are based. Personal values provide an internal reference for what is good, beneficial, important, useful, beautiful, desirable, constructive, etc.Personal values develop from circumstances surrounding us, and can change over time. For example, people who apply their values appropriately regardless of arguments or negative comments from others are said to have integrity. Understanding and recognizing our personal values and interests is important to assist us in making healthy and responsible decisions for our future.
