In the movie Avatar, James Cameron creates a movie that expresses a two-edged cultural and military imperialism. By using remarkable cinematography, outstanding score and best visual effects, James Cameron takes viewers into a completely new world of undiscovered treasure and beauty. On the other hand, the story portrays a modern day form of imperialism on a newly discovered society that is very uncivilized and underdeveloped. The natives of the new planet Pandora, a planet in the Alpha Centauri star system, the Na’vi’s are subjected to suffering during a war that is staged by human beings from the earth who are depicted to have a far much superior technology.
