Give an example of a stereotype you find in your everyday life. Comment on the experiences of your classmates-are they the same or different from yours, and how?The act of grouping people and the act of stereotyping people are as different from one another as hot and cold. Grouping people consist of a number of people who group together such as a prayer group, arts group, or any other types of groups. Grouping people could consist of anything imaginable to the human mind, color, race, gender, ethnic background, religion, legal alien, illegal alien, thin, overweight, alcoholic, diabetic and so on. There are so many it would take a life time to name them all. Now, stereotyping someone is the act of singling out a person because of their differences. Let's say we see a gentleman walking in Wal-Mart wearing a suit and tie, someone mentions "there goes a lawyer". That person is being singled out and stereotyped because he chooses to wear the cloths he likes. He might be a football coach who likes suits and ties, we don't know but our knack of singling out and stereotyping people is there and we do it.
