Congress BillAffiliationStudent's NameThe bill - Stoppage of violence against women and subsequent discriminative activities against women irrespective of age Violence against the female gender has been in continuance for quite some time now. There have been many movements since the 8th century whose objectives have been seeing to it that women are shielded from violence and discrimination. As it is known to everyone, the female gender is weaker compared to the male gender. Despite knowledge about this by a majority of men on the delicate nature of women, they still engage in activities that discriminate women and make them undergo physical and psychological trauma and suffering (Jacqui, 2012). There have been cases of violence against women in the global scene and arena. In some occasions that have been quoted in the media, in some Asian country, women and small girls are raped and hang by their rapists. This indicates the great need of enhancing protecting women against violence and more importantly, it indicates that women are indeed highly vulnerable individuals and drastic steps ought to be taken towards protecting women from violence. Enhanced protection of women can be achieved through stringent legislations that will curb and reduce cases of violence against women in the society (Spieler, 2011).The relevance of the bill in handling and tackling the issue of protecting women from violence is relevant in every corner of the world.
