SARS Coronavirus(INSERT NAME HERE)(INSERT UNIVERSITY HERE) April 9th, 2015Introduction:Sever Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) is a very dangerous life threatening viral infection that is caused by a virus in the Coronaviridae family (Lin M CH, 2014). SARS Coronavirus first broke out in 2002, and originated in southern China progressed and infected over 8000 individuals worldwide; but as of now, SARS has been eradicated as a threat (Leung CB, 2013). There are two particular stages of SARS, the first stage is a flu-like syndrome that initiates within two to seven days after the incubation period and can last anywhere from three to seven days, and it consists of a fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or 38 degrees Celsius, fatigue, minor headaches, chills, myalgia's, malaise, anorexia, and the less common symptoms which consist of sputum production, sore throat, coryza, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and diarrhea (Lin M CH, 2014). The second stage of SARS Coronavirus is the lower respiratory tract phase and consists of the following symptoms: dry cough, dyspnea, progressive hypoxemia which has occurred in a magnitude of cases, and respiratory failure that sometimes requires mechanical ventilation (Leung CB, 2013). The pathogenesis of SARS Coronavirus is very complex, with numerous factors that may lead to severe and deadly injure to the lungs and dissemination of the virus to several other organs (Leung CB, 2013).
