AJS572 DQs Week 2 1. What are the similarities and differences between corporate espionage offenders who are insiders and those who are outsidersespionage offender. The corporation faces many IT vulnerabilities that include internal and external corporate espionage. Corporate espionage offenders that are insiders have access to sensitive information that can be sold or stolen by the competition while the corporate espionage outsiders are hackers that enter the private information systems using outside sources. In either case the damage that can be done by these offenders to the corporation is tremendous. Internal espionage threats can have access to sensitive company information or to the companys software and hardware. They use their access to these IT functions in order to conduct their espionage while the external threat uses IT skills to hack into the information system of the corporation in order to steal private data. External threats can be individuals targeting the organization or a group of people trying to steal the secret of the organization.
