Approaches to decision making NameInstitutionThe administrators at the nursing home need to a decision on how to control the rate of the infections. This is because if they do not do make a decision that eliminates the infection, they will incur extra costs due to the fines and it may impact negatively on the image of the clinic. There are two approaches that the managers can apply to come up with a decision on how to deal with the situation. Intuitive method of making decisions is one of them. This method entails the managers making decisions based on their own judgement and experiences (Stephen et al., 2011). This type of decision making is good if the manager is a leader and is able to separate personal life from the decision to be made. This is because if they do not do this they might end up making bad decisions. Intuitive decisions can also be based on emotions and the culture of the managers. The administration of the clinic can make a decision on how to deal with the infection based on intuition. They should analyse the situation well to determine their cause of action.
