He appeared to be a normal human being who would rape and murder women and then spend time with the bodies. Ted Bundy was handsome and charismatic and would use different ploys to trap his victims with the most common being pretending to have a broken leg or a broken arm and requesting help from the victims. The women were not frightened by Bundy do to his charm and good looks. Bundy had several different signatures which included spending time with the dead bodies of his victims . Bundy was born in 1946 in a home for unwed Mothers and raised by his grandparent. Bundy believed his Mother was his sister for most of his life. When Ted was five his Mother left her parents home and married Johnny Bundy a cook in the military. Ted took Johnnies name and they had four more children. Bundy's parent had little money but Bundy excelled at school despite being socially shy and awkward. Bundy quickly adapted to college and was seen as a smart and popular student. Despite being charming and charismatic Bundy never made any real friends until he met his first love in 1967. After Stephanie Brooks ended the relationship Bundy became depressed.
