CRJS478-DB5NameClassDateProfessorForensic Biology Forensic biologist play an important role in forensic especially in the 21st century. The role of the forensic biologist is to collect and test bodily fluids in order to develop additional information on the crime. Forensic biologists examine all bodily fluids and hairs found at the crime scene in order to locate potential DNA or to determine a time of death. The forensic biologist applies the latest technology to examining, blood, sweat, semen, hair, etc. While DNA can be pivotal to all court cases the forensic biologist is not looking for DNA profiles and will locate all kinds of important evidence. Without the forensic biologists the forensic evidences located at the scene could not be properly developed. Forensic biologists specialize in many different areas from forensic anthropology, pathology, entomology, pathology and botany. Forensic biologists collect and analyze biological evidence found on clothing, weapons and other surfaces to determine the time and cause of death (DOJ, 2004). They are also important to developing information about bug life located on a deceased body and look at bones
