On this cool November morning, the men were walking through the woods in their quest for deer. Upon arriving on the scene forensic investigators observe five skeletons in the home and one decomposing body. The forensic investigator is now responsible for conducting the forensic investigation. Forensic Science at the Scene Forensic science is essential to uncovering the identity of the skeletons and decomposing body at the scene. Forensic science is science applied to the discovery of evidence and to processes in the criminal justice system. Any science used to advance justice is forensic science. When evidence is located at a crime scene the different branches of forensic science will be responsible for the analysis of the different types of evidence located at the scene. Through forensic science the criminal investigation has become easier as far as identifying criminal suspects and has simplified the court process in assisting prosecutors in proving the guilt of the offender.
