One example is that in the city is more congested than the country. There is a vast array of differences about these two places. As we can see from these two different authors Joyce Carol Oates, They All Went Away, and Edwidge Danticat, Westbury Court, they have live two completely types of lifestyles because of where they grew up. These two stories are basically about growing up in the city verses growing up in the country. Both authors have different experience due to the fact that one lives in completely different environments than the other. This can affect the way they see things around them, and can affect the way others see things around them, depending on where they live. The author of They All Just Went Away, Joyce Carol Oates, grew up in a farm in the country. She says, I must have been a lonely child.
