Tutor description

The area of focus was to enhance students enthusiasm for learning science through technological integration. Hollis (1995) states, “ during the first six weeks of school, I reviewed the scientific method, the metric system, scientific measurement, and laboratory safety. At this point multimedia technology was not part of the curriculum "(p.1). Thus, the researcher realized the traditional ways of learning in the classroom but may have had discontent which led to challenging traditional methods. Hollis (1995) further states, “ I wanted to bring technology into my classroom and incorporate it into my science curriculum using multimedia computer presentations” (p.1). Thus, the purpose of the study (area of focus) was stated in plain language by the researcher/teacher.
