Tutor description

Whether it be a talented artist, revolutionary scientist, or notorious criminal, many people often look towards different factors in a person's upbringing to speculate why they grew into the person they did. One might argue that the environment a child grows up in plays the largest role in their personality when they come to fruition as an adult. Arguably the best way to discern how a child is affected by their environment is to take a look at firsthand accounts of their early life as they experienced it in order to understand their own perspective of their environment and how it shaped their views of the world around them. Two wonderful examples of such firsthand accounts include the essays "Westbury Court" by Edwidge Danticat and "They All Just Went Away" by Joyce Carol Oates.
