It is obvious that a person's space can have an impact on their memory. What a person remembers about their childhood home is very relative to that individual's space and their experiences. "Westbury Court," written by Edwidge Danticat(n.d.), provides an example of how a person remembers certain things that occurred while living in their childhood home. In this case, it would be a fire that started in the same building as Danticat. She states, "One afternoon whileGeneral Hospitaland afternoon cartoons were on, a fire started in apartment 6E, across the hall"(Danticat, n.d.). One could ask how Danticat remembered such details about what she was watching. The fact that that was the day of a fire in her childhood home, made an impact on her memory. She was able to remember details that, if on any other day, she wouldnt have. Danticat states: "I didnt know a fire had started until two masked, burly firemen came knocking on our door. My brothers and I rushed out into the hallway filled with smoke and were quickly escorted down to the first floor by some oth
