Statistics is the study of collection, organization and interpretation of data. It deals with all aspects of this including the planning of data collection in items of the design of surveys and experiments. It a very tedious and confusing topic to deal with, it takes a lot of patience and can take a while to understand. But there is a reason why we use statistics, it gives us a better understanding of how and what our community consists of. In this particular case we used an M&M bag that consists of 5842, in 6 different colors blue, orange, green, yellow, red and brown. This report is to explain our findings and explain it to a person that does not understand statistics.

TitleThe candies M&Ms were found in 1941, and named after the last names of the founders of the company Murrie and Mars brothers. They are colorful and button shaped candies that have outer hard shell and can be fill with anything from milk chocolate to almonds. The Phrase life is a box of chocolate, you ever know what you going to get (Forest Gump, 1994), has really been put to test in this experiment, you reach in bad filled with 5842 candies with 6 different colors, and you start to wonder in a handful of candy how many will be yellow, or red, or brown, or my favorite color orange.
