Biology 118 is the first of two semesters covering the principles of cell biology and molecular genetics. Biology 118 focuses on the structure of eukaryotic cells and the organization, expression and transmission of genetic information. Throughout the course we will emphasize the process of scientific discovery and analysis that are essential to our modern understanding of molecular biology and genetics.
