In this report, I will discuss the transition of Alkaline batteries to rechargeable Lithium-ion phosphate batteries in Nikon’s COOLPIX 320 Camera. A battery is a transducer that converts chemical energy into electrical energy. In an Alkaline battery, the reaction between zinc and manganese dioxide is what creates the energy needed to power a device.
