Born in 37 AD to Agrippina the minor and Gnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus, Neros birth name was Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus. Before his fathers death in 47 AD, Neros mother, Agrippina, was exiled to the Pontian islands by her brother, Caligula, for being an accused lover of Lepidus.
