Notably, thebehavioral and biologic approaches remain the most dominant. The behavioral paradigm is basedon the premise that, individual behavior is determined by the environment one is in (Schultz D.& Schultz S., 2016). On the other hand, the biological approach holds that individual behaviorand experiences are shaped by the biological processes of the nervous system (Funder, 2015).Notably, both behavioral and biological perspectives are scientific; therefore, they give reliableinsights in understanding the human character; however, the two approaches provide distinctinsights about human behavior. The behavioral approach has been applied in various therapies,for instance, aversion therapy while the biological approach has been used to understand variouspsychological disorders such as depression and schizophrenia.
