It has a great significance in the Islamreligion and this involves the following: Revelation, compilation, daily use and culturalsignificance. Revelation in that the Quran was revealed to Muhammad outside the city of Meccaby Angel Gabriel. He was shown and directed for over twenty years after which he began theIslam religion. He then began spreading its words to the people and therefore the Islam religionwas born. Compilation in that, Mohammad did not know how to write and therefore did notrecord what was revealed to him by Angel Gabriel. He memorized everything and thereforeshared the knowledge with Abu Bakr.
