IntroductionIn the day to day life, there are situations when there is the interaction of two or moredifferent cultures. For the purpose of communication and strong social relationship, it becomesnecessary not to learn only the speech but also the non-verbal cues that the other culture uses.Assuming, for instance, the US Military forces go to missions outside the US such as in theArabian territories; there is a socio-cultural difference. The US military forces become successfulnot only by learning the speech but also the non-verbal cues associated with the Arabs. The nonverbal cues ply a crucial role in the translation of the meaning, especially where the US soldiershave limited expertise in Arabic. These signs may be overlooked as nonessential. However, thenon-verbal communication contributes about two-thirds of the information shared between twoindividuals. The non-verbal cues are skills that are needed in the development of rapport, and theestablishment of the interactions between the US military personnel and the natives, Arabcoalition partners and other parties of interest in the quest for persuasion of opportunities andnegotiations of the situations. Without the non-verbal cues, it would be very difficult tounderstand one another and the situations of security and attainment of the missions goals wouldbe jeo
