Psychology is the study of human behavior and the human mind, for this to be done theories hadto emerge so to be able to explain and describe this behavior s of the mind their origin anddevelopments.The different schools of psychology stand for the major theories used in the study of psychology:StructuralismThis was the first school and was advocated by Wilhelm Wundt the founder of the firstpsychology lab. The school focuses on consciousness of the mind, breaking down the mentalprocesses into more basic components. It tries to analyse the events of an adult since childhoodto present in simple identifiable components. Later, finds out how these simple components canbe merged up to form complex experiences and how they relate to physical events.(Gergen,1973)The main technique used to analyze the inner functions of the mind at this school of thought isintrospection.
