Tutor description

For many years, cities have been known as the centers for commerce, innovation, culture, and the birthplace of some of the greatest ideas humankind has ever had. Cities are becoming a very crucial part of human history and a hub to connect people from different parts of the world. This has led to the increase in the population in the cities, as a result of the rural-urban migration. The current situation sees more than 70% of the total number of cities across the globe being affected by climate change. And, all other cities are at risk of climate change (UNDP, 2012). Research shows that 90% of the urban cities on the planet are coastal, and are at risk of flooding due to powerful storms and rise in the sea level (UNDP, 2012). But how do problems associated with climate affect cities in the coastal areas, and how can these problems be mitigated in the future?
