Through the development of Blooms Taxonomy the three domains of learning are identified as being cognitive, psychomotor, and affective. The cognitive domain refers to the knowledge or intelligence of the student while the affective domain refers to the student emotional growth or attitude towards learning. The last domain the psychomotor domain refers to the student's physical capabilities or skills. Bloom identified through his taxonomy the different levels of learning within the cognitive domain.
