Introduction to Technology and Education IP1NameClassDateProfessorIntroduction to Technology and Education IP1 Technology is the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using, and managing appropriate technological processes and resources (Molenda, 2003). Instructional technology is the use of new innovations to improve the learning skills of the student. Instructional technology refers to new technological capabilities that simplify the ability of the teacher to provide information to the student and electronic tools provide the student with the opportunity to access, process and present information. Teachers provide students with information through computers, software, electronic tutorials, and other electronic tools and students interact with the technology in order to obtain new skills and new knowledge. Instruction technology also refers to the design of the curriculum and how the content will be managed. Electronic devices such as PDAs, MP3 players, book readers, and online computer labs, are just some of the technological devices that can be used to promote learning. In the new technological age it is essential that the instructor provide the student with all possible electronic avenues for presenting them with information. Using electronic learning support media in education and business training allows the instructor to support the instructional design with technology
