Of course rugby is a loved sport to watchand play but many questions are at hunt; as how did it originate, how is it played and what arethe benefits? Traditionally; rugby is played by 30 players formed from two opposing teams of15 members each (15-a-side). The seven-aside rugby is popular too and involves two teamseach with seven members. Some countries like Australia have introduced the ten-aside inclubs and schools. The game is lively and thrilling due to its traditional and teamcamaraderie. Both sexes can play the game and it is age specific; meaning it is played inseveral versions depending on age (Australian Rugby, 2014).The objective of a rugby game is that each of the teams (15-a-side) scores as manypoints as it can. The scores are made through carrying, kicking, passing and eventuallygrounding the oval ball. The team with the highest number of points emerges the winner ofthe tournament or match. Each team aims at gaining, possessing and taking the ball into theopponents territory placing it in the in-goal zone (end zone).
