Question 3The police word or testimony is not entirely reliable or accurate in the administrationof justice to crime suspects in a court of law today. There have been discrepancies in thecredibility of police-generated witness testimony leading to introduction of judicialgatekeeping of such testimonies. Some of the reasons the police officers word or testimonyis not entirely unequivocal in accuracy, is the increased number of wrongful convictions(Thompson, 2012). When the witnesses being interrogated by police are vulnerable, thepolice-generated witness testimonies have submitted false evidence in courts, convictinginnocent citizens rather than the real culprits in crime. Federal Rule of Evidence 403 gives thecourts the mandate to exclude dubious evidence that has the potential to mislead the jury inits determination of ruling in a criminal or civil case (Scott & Matt, 2011)
