Criminal psychological profiling is taking information developed about the series of crimes and making deduction based on the evidence that is left behind. In many cases the body of the victims of the serial killer will be found but there will be no witnesses to their crime or the dumping of the body. This requires profilers to pay close attention to the crime scene in order to develop clues to the identity of the serial killer. In order for a murder to be considered serial it must consist of three murders or more. Through the series of murders the criminal profiler can develop more and more information on the criminal offender. For example serial killers can be organized or disorganized.
