I would concur with Schaefer (2011) in that our post-modern society is not preoccupied, however, but obsessed with the cultural development that technology has generated. Access to consumer goods has provided the convenience and financial savings within an economy of instability. Since the advent of technology, society has grasp the leverage of technology advancements through convince and perception, thus, creating a new postmodern sophisticated society. In essence, technology has created a new formidable reality and sophisticated cultural implications. Yes, I would say I am preoccupied with consumer goods.
