To compare these parameters for tube with inserts with that of the smooth tube. To analyze thermal performance factors along with heat transfer enhancement for different insert arrangements. A Finite Element Analysis (FEM) has been carried out to study the heat transfer performance and turbulent fluid flow characteristics by using a computer program. The finite element program consists of A pre-processer A mesh generator A processor or solver A post-processor Three-dimensional, steady, forced turbulent flow, non-isothermal conjugate heat transfer. Turbulence model: k- two equation model. 3-D cylindrical model geometry had been developed. Material and their properties were selected from the material browser. Free unstructured tetrahedral meshes of normal size were used in the simulation work.
