1. Genes are parts of DNA that formulate the individual units of heredity. The traits which make us distinctive from others are inherited from our ancestors to us through these genes. Physical traits for example blue eyes, curly hair, and obesity etc. are all defined by our genes present in the DNA. Every cell in humans usually holds twenty three pairs of chromosomes which make up total forty six chromosomes individually. Each pair of chromosome has one chromosome inherited from the female, and the other from the male. Out of twenty-three pairs of chromosomes, twenty-two pairs (known as autosomes) look like identical in both females and males. The remaining 23rd pair (known as sex chromosome) defines gender. This pair articulates that either it will be a girl or a boy. Twins are siblings who born out in a distinct pregnancy. These twins can either be monozygotic or dizygotic. The major dissimilarity in monozygotic and dizygotic twins is that monozygotic twins created from a singlezygoteor fertilized egg and dizygotic twins created from two zygotes.
