Currently failure rate for technology projects is somewhat from 35%-75%. There are following reasons which cause the technology projects to fail.One reason is that return on investment numbers are ignored while business re-architecture. Introducing technology projects require business transformation which is very costly and this cost is ignored while introducing technology projects. Technology projects fail when an organization failed to filter the training needs of people working on products and also the cultural changes in organization while adopting new tools in workplace. Return on investment rarely drives technology investment decisions.
