The aim of this field exercise is to collect data on the nature of bilingualism and multilingualism. This paper reports the results of the exercise that I have studied on my family who categorized into two variables age and gender. In this paper I'm trying to answer some questions: Does the use of bilingualism or multilingualism depend on age? Is the use of language among male different from that among female? Is the use of bilingualism or multilingualism affected by both age and gender?I expect to find that age may have an influence on the objects language knowledge, I think that the younger generation may have better result, thus; they are more exposed to the languages through media, internet, and contact than the old generation. In the other hand I believe that gender may not have an effect on the subjects language knowledge. MethodIn this exercise I interviewed my family collecting data about their use of language in their life.
