Japanese Calligrahy\Japanese CalligrahyJapan has many cultural values and beliefs. From cultural clothing like the Kimono which is a traditional custom of japanese clothing. Modern Japanese enjoy a variety of traditional Japanese food, including the staples of rice, sushi and miso soup, as well as many seafood dishes. To their language, the Japanese language is written with a combination of three different types of scripts: Chinese characters Kanji, and two syllabic scripts, Hiragana and Katakana. A large part of Japanese culture also comes from art. Painting has been an art in Japan for a very long time. Native Japanese painting techniques are still in use today. The Japanese language uses complicated calligraphy. As in other East Asian countries, the text itself is seen as a traditional artform as well as a means of conveying written information. The art can consist of phrases, poems, stories, or even single characters. In Japanese, calligraphy is called shodou, or the way of writing which uses a brush. Calligraphy has also used ink and wash painting, which is accomplished using similar tools and techniques. Unlike the Western culture, calligraphy is widely practiced by people of all ages and all walks of life in Japan. Indeed, not only Japanese children have to learn the basics of calligraphy as part of their elementary school education, Chinese and Korean are practicing this too.
