McFarland's A Frequency Count of PilipinoThis paper will use Curtis McFarland's A Frequency Count of Pilipino, a frequency count of a particular corpus of Pilipino text. This one million-word corpus is developed from the short Pilipino mini-novels that had appeared under the series entitled Twin Hearts Romances. There were eleven categories into which the materials used in corpus were divided. The frequency count itself is arranged in lists. First is the random order of the top 2000 headwords and for each headword two numbers are shown: the raw frequency and the adjusted frequency. The ranking is based on the adjusted frequency. This adjusted frequency is believed to be a better representation of the 'actual' frequen
