When I got into the process of assessing the employee performance in the retail store I was annoyed and yet amazed to find out how the employees are less motivated due to the negative media attention the company has been getting about its earnings. I gradually realized, putting aside my annoyance, that being the HR manager of the retail store my job is encourage and motivate the employees instead of rebuking them without solving the basic problems. Hence, I primarily thought of installing an effective performance management system that can fit to the environment and work culture of my retail store.
