Prize bond is a bearer type security originally a scheme of National Savings Organization, efficiently being managed by SBP (BSC) on behalf of Government of Pakistan. Prize bond management involves number of operations to run efficiently such as, secure printing by PSPC, supply to all authorized offices to sell them, arranging its draws, payment of prize money and encashment of prize bond and some other important operations like receipt of defective prize bonds and its destruction at almost all field offices of SBP (BSC). The major purpose of this report is to highlight any inadequacy in management of prize bond in operational hands of SBP (BSC). After deep research some issues are highlighted which indicate inefficiencies and irregularities in some areas where responsibility of SBP (BSC) are not being managed well, like promotion of prize bond, illegal trading, and some security issues are highlighted.
