This debilitating disease has caused the anguish of families. Families that deal with a loved one who has come down with Alzheimer's suffer themselves because they have to watch their family member slowly lose their memories. This scary premise has led to massive research on the topic with hopes of curing the disease, or at least finding a way to treat it better. Since Alzheimer's is a progressive disease it will eventually affect all parts of the brain. This is critical for people to remember to take care of their brain. Today, research has not found a cure for Alzheimer's, but there are many preventative measures that can be taken to help alleviate the symptoms and perhaps even deter the disease completely. Neuroplasticity refers to the fact that a brain can train itself and even repair itself to a degree. How can Neuroplasticity benefit those diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease? And how can it be used as a preventative measure? With this question looming above, one can only hope to discover the relationship between Neuroplasticity and Alzheimer's disease. .
