Amiens Cathedral, which is located in Amiens, France is a very interesting piece of architecture. It sits on a slight ridge, overlooking the River Somme, in the heart of the city but doesn‘t appear to blend in very well with the surrounding architecture.

It was built by three different architects, Robert de Luzarches was the architect from 1220 until 1228, Thomas de Cormont from 1228 until 1258 and Reanaud de Cormont from 1258 until 1288. The cathedral was completed in 1266 but finishing work continued until 1288 when the labyrinth was installed
